UMSL Suffers First Spring Season Loss

Rivermen Fall to Graceland 8-1

The UMSL men's tennis team suffered their first loss of the spring season with an 8-1 loss to Graceland University. The lone UMSL point came from the number two doubels team of Mike Schaaf and Stephen Pobst. The pair jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead and led 6-3 when the Graceland team came back and took a 7-6 lead. Schaaf and Pobst then closed it out by winning the next two games to win 9-7.

The Rivermen will be off until next week when the team travels to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for a spring break trip where the team will play a total of four matches.
