UMSL Loses at Truman State

Rivermen Fall 6-3 in Tuneup for Conference Tournament

The UMSL men's tennis team lost 6-3 at Truman State on Wednesday, in the final regular season match before the Rivermen head to the GLVC Tournament beginning on Friday.

UMSL won two of the three doubles matches, winning 8-5 at two doubles and 8-4 at three doubles. The one doubles team lost a close match, falling 9-8. In singles matches, the Bulldogs took five of the six. Peter Hantack recorded the only singles win for UMSL, winning in three sets, 6-0, 2-6, 10-3, improving on his team best 12 singles wins this year.

The Rivermen will next head to the GLVC Tournament to be played at the SIU Edwardsville campus. UMSL will begin play on Friday morning at 8:30 am when they face Indianapolis.
