UMSL Completes Tough Road Weekend Rivermen Fall to NKU and Indianapolis The Missouri St. Louis men’s tennis team dropped two conference matches over the weekend, falling 6-3 at Northern Kentucky and losing 8-1 at Indianapolis in a match that was much closer than it appeared. In the Indianapolis match, UMSL lost five of the six singles matches, but went to a third set tie breaker in three of the singles matches. Mike Schaaf (St. Louis, Mo./Francis Howell) lost in three sets at number two singles, as did Stephen Pobst (Sikeston, Mo./Sikeston) at three singles. Ryan Burgdorfer (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) got the lone point for UMSL with a three set win at four singles, winning 3-6, 6-1, (8). In the doubles matches, UMSL came up just short at both one and two doubles, losing 8-6 in both matches. The
Rivermen are now 6-4 on the season and 4-2 in the GLVC standings. UMSL
will be at home next weekend to host Southern Indiana on Friday and
