| UMSL Starts Season with a Win Rivermen Beat Truman State in Season Opener ST. LOUIS, MO – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's tennis team started their season with a 6-3 win over Truman State. UMSL won two of the three doubles matches with Martin Kardos and Matt Vaulkhard teaming up for an 8-4 win at one doubles and Rajan Saini and Stephen Pobst teaming up for an 8-5 win at three doubles. The Rivermen thne took four of the six singles matches. Vaulkhard cruised to an easy 6-1, 6-2 win at the one singles spot and Kardos notched a 6-3, 7-5 win at two singles. Mike Schaaf pulled out a 6-3, 7-6 (8) win at four singles and Rajan Saini got an easy 6-2, 6-1 win at five singles. UMSL starts off the spring season with a 1-0 record and will be in action again at home on Sunday, March 9, at 12 pm against Central College.
