| UMSL Wins Final Two Conference Matches Rivermen Beat Lewis 7-2; Beats Saint Joseph's 5-1 The UMSL men’s tennis team rounded out their final conference weekend with a win at Lewis and a win at Saint Joseph’s. Against Lewis, UMSL won five of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches to cruise to an easy win. The top three singles players of Matt Vaulkhard, Martin Kardos and Mike Schaaf each came away with a win in their matches and Martin Damm and Stephen Pobst both won at five and six singles respectively. In the match at Saint Joseph’s on Saturday, the Rivermen lost in the one doubles match, but won both two and three doubles, including a close 8-6 win at two doubles from Mario Gruden and Rajan Saini. UMSL then took the first three singles matches, as Gruden, Stephen Pobst and Kyle Aulabaugh each recorded wins for the 5-1 UMSL victory. UMSL will be at home against Lindenwood on Monday at 2 pm, play at UM Rolla on Tuesday and then host Washington University on Wednesday before heading to the GLVC Tournament next weekend.
