UMSL Cruises to Win

Rivermen Beat Principia 8-1

St. Louis, Mo. – The UMSL men’s tennis team cruised to an easy 8-1 win over Principia College on Sunday afternoon, winning all three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches.

UMSL cruised in the doubles matches, winning one and two doubles by a score of 8-3 in each match, and Mike Schaaf and Rajan Saini teamed up for an 8-1 win at three doubles. Martin Kardos got a win at two singles, winning 6-1, 6-0, and Rajan Saini had an equally dominating performance at five singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. Mike Schaaf got a win at three singles, Martin Damm at four singles and Stephen Pobst at six singles for the Rivermen, who improve to 3-1 on the season.

UMSL will be in action at home on Tuesday when the Rivermen host UM Rolla at 3 pm.
