Hoette Named soccerMO.com Player of the Week

St. Louis, Mo. – UMSL goalkeeper Zach Hoette (Florissant, Mo./Rosary) was named the soccerMO.com Men's College Player of the Week for his efforts last week with two shutouts in road conference games for the Rivermen.

In two road games last weekend, Hoette recorded two shutouts to help UMSL go 1-0-1 on the weekend. Against Rockhurst, he recorded three saves in a 1-0 UMSL win. Hoette then recorded a double-overtime shutout as UMSL tied 7th-ranked Drury 0-0, recording five saves in that game. On the season, Hoette has recorded six shutouts which leads the GLVC in that category, and he has a goals against average of 0.79 on the season.

Hoette is the third UMSL player to receive Player of the Week honors from soccerMO.com this year, following Jared Smith (Aug. 30) and Colin Huber (Sept. 25) who both earned that honor earlier this season. The Rivermen will be at home this weekend when they host Southern Indiana on Friday at 5 pm, and the host Kentucky Wesleyan on Sunday at 12 pm.
