Zach Hoette Named Daktronics All-Region Selection

St. Louis, Mo. – University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s soccer player Zach Hoette (Florissant, Mo./Rosary) was named a Daktronics Great Lakes Region Second Team selection for the 2006 season.

Hoette, a senior goalkeeper for the Rivermen, was a Great Lakes Valley All-Conference second team selection earlier this year. He started all 16 games at goalkeeper for UMSL, playing over 1,470 minutes. Hoette allowed 14 goals on the season for a goals against average of 0.86, which ranked sixth in the GLVC. He recorded nine shutouts on the year which led the GLVC and is the third best single season total in UMSL history. He recorded 67 saves on the season and finished fifth in the GLVC in saves per game. Hoette ranks fifth on the UMSL career list with for most saves with 222.

The Daktronics all-region teams are nominated and voted on by sports information directors from schools in the respective regions. It is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., and focuses on awarding outstanding performances by student-athletes at the NCAA Division II level.
