UMSL Qualifies for GLVC Tournament with 1-0 Win

The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team got a big win to close out the conference season, getting a 1-0 win over Saint Joseph's to qualify for the GLVC Tournament.

UMSL got a 1-0 win at Saint Joseph's on Sunday, a win the team needed to qualify for the GLVC Tournament. It was a scoreless first half before UMSL got on the board late in the game. Colin Huber scored his fifth goal of the season in the 82nd minute of the game for the game-winning goal, his fourth game-winning goal of the season. UMSL goalkeeper Zach Hoette had four saves and recorded his ninth shutout of the season. On Friday, UMSL fell 2-0 at Indianapolis, giving up one goal in each half in the loss.

UMSL is now 9-5-2 on the season and finishes the conference season with a 6-5-2 record in the GLVC. UMSL qualifies for the GLVC Tournament as the eighth seed and will play at SIU Edwardsville in the first round.
