UMSL Season Ends with Loss in GLVC Tournament

Edwardsville, Ill. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team lost 3-1 at SIU Edwardsville in the first round of the GLVC Tournament, ending the season for the Rivermen. UM-St. Louis finishes the year with an overall record of 9-7-2.

Both teams were scoreless in the first half, as UMSL goalkeeper Zach Hoette made two saves in the opening half to keep it tied 0-0. The Rivermen then got on the board first, getting a goal from Jared Smith in the 56th minute for a 1-0 UMSL lead. That lead would stand for 15 minutes before the Cougar offense put up three goals in a seven-minute span to close out the 3-1 win.

UMSL ends their season with a 9-7-2 record on the year.
