UMSL-Drury End in a Draw Rivermen Tie Drury 1-1 in Double Overtime St. Louis, Mo. – The Missouri-St. Louis men’s soccer team hosted new GLVC member Drury and fought the Panthers to a 1-1 tie on Friday night. The Rivermen got off to a hot start, scoring the first goal of the game in the 32nd minute as Justin Pasternak (St. Louis, Mo./Oakville) sent the ball from the right side to the opposite side of the box where Jeff Menke (St. Louis, Mo./Rosary) sent it past the keeper for a 1-0 UMSL lead. Drury would tie the game in the 64th minute on a goal by Scott Deal that knotted the game and send it to overtime. UMSL had some chances late in the second half but couldn’t capitalize and neither team found the net in the two overtime periods, settling for the 1-1 tie. UMSL is now 3-1-2 on the season and is
3-1-1 in the GLVC. The Rivermen will host 14th-ranked Rockhurst on Sunday
afternoon at 2:30 pm.
