UMSL Suffers Loss at SIUE, Quincy

Rivermen Close out Conference Season

The UMSL men's soccer team suffered two losses on the weekend, falling 2-0 at second-ranked SIU Edwardsville and then losing 1-0 at Quincy on Sunday afternoon.

In Friday's game, UMSL fell 2-0 at #2 SIU Edwardsville. The Cougars got a goal in the 18th minute to a 1-0 halftime lead, then got an insurance goal in the 71st minute for the win. Against Quincy, the Hawks got a goal in the 26th minute of the game and held on from there for the win.

UMSL is now 4-9-3 on the season and finished up the GLVC season with a 3-8-2 conference record. The Rivermen will finish up their season on Wednesday when they play at McKendree.
