UMSL Falls to Lewis, Wis-Parkside on the Road

Rivermen Shutout in Weekend Games

The Missouri-St. Louis men’s soccer team suffered a 7-0 loss at Lewis University of Friday afternoon and then dropped a 2-0 game at Wisconsin-Parkside on Sunday.

The Flyers scored two goals in the first half and five goals in a 15-minute stretch of the second half for the win. UMSL was close in overall shots, trailing Lewis 16-11 in that department, but the Flyers had nine shots on goal while UMSL had no shots on goal in the game. UMSL lost 2-0 to the Rangers on Sunday, giving up two second half goals in a game that saw a 30-minute lightning delay.

UMSL falls to 3-4-2 overall on the season and 3-4-1 in the GLVC. The Rivermen be at home next weekend to host Northern Kentucky on Friday night and host Bellarmine on Sunday afternoon.
