UMSL Ties Quincy in Conference Opener

Rivermen Hold Hawks Scoreless

Quincy, Ill. – The Missouri-St. Louis men’s soccer team fought to a 0-0 tie in double overtime in the GLVC opener at Quincy on Sunday. The Hawks outshot UMSL 18-8 in the game, but UMSL goalkeeper Zach Hoette (Florissant, Mo./Rosary) played the entire 110 minutes and held Quincy scoreless with nine saves on the day to record his second shutout of the season.

UMSL is now 4-3-1 on the season and 0-0-1 in the GLVC. The Rivermen will be at home this weekend to host Bellarmine on Friday at 5 pm, and then host Kentucky Wesleyan on Sunday at 12 noon.
