Flyers Beat Rivermen 3-0

Romeoville, Ill. – The Missouri-St. Louis men’s soccer team squared off against their second straight nationally ranked opponent, as the Rivermen lost 3-0 at 9th-ranked Lewis University on Sunday afternoon. That game came after a heartbreaking double overtime loss at 5th-ranked SIU Edwardsville on Friday.

In the second half, the Flyers got two goals from Cathal Brady in the final 15 minutes of the game for the 3-0 win. UMSL goalkeeper Zach Hoette (Florissant, Mo./Rosary) kept the score from getting out of hand with seven saves on the day.

UMSL falls to 6-9-2 overall on the season and is now 2-6-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Rivermen will be at home in this upcoming weekend when they host Southern Indiana on Saturday, October 23, at 12 noon.
