UMSL Unbeaten Streak Comes to an End

Rivermen Fall 1-0 in Overtime at Indianapolis

Indianapolis, Ind. – The Missouri-St. Louis men’s soccer team saw its eight-game unbeaten streak come to an end as Indianapolis defeated UMSL 1-0 in overtime. The eight-game unbeaten streak, in which UMSL went 6-0-2, was the longest unbeaten streak since the 1991 season for the Rivermen.

Both teams were scoreless in this game for the first 90 minutes. UMSL had 13 shots to 11 for Indianapolis during regulation, as the Greyhounds managed just two shots on goal for the entire game. The second of those shots on goal was a goal by Miguel de Diego in the 94th minute to give Indianapolis the 1-0 victory.

The Rivermen fall to 6-4-2 on the season and are now 2-1-1 in the GLVC. UMSL will be on the road again on Sunday when they play at Northern Kentucky at 12 noon.
