UM-St. Louis Joisted by Gannon Rivermen get sank 2-1 by the Golden Knights St. Louis, Mo. – The University of Missouri St. Louis faced off against 24th ranked Gannon today for their last home game of the regular season. The Rivermen came out strong and got an early shot on goal. Gannon would soon take control, as they would score eight minutes into the game. Before the end of the first period Gannon would put a security point on the board. At the half Gannon led 2-0. In the second half, UM-St. Louis would try to put together a rally while holding off Gannon’s attacks. Late in the period, sophomore Jeff Menke (St. Louis, Mo./Rosary) would dump one in when junior Adam Bimslager (Florissant, Mo./St. Thomas Aquanis) passed him the ball from the far post. The Golden Knights proved to be too much for the Rivermen, as they went down 2-1. The
UM-St. Louis Rivermen will finish the regular season with a two game
road trip. First, on Wednesday October 22, they will ravel to Kirksville,
Mo. to take the pitch against Truman State University. Saturday October
25 they close the conference season at Southern Indiana. The Rivermen
are 6-9-1 on the season and 4-4-1 in the GLVC.
