UMSL Falls to Rockhurst

Rivermen Lose 3-1 on the Road

KANSAS CITY, MO – The UMSL men's soccer team saw their three game winning streak come to an end with a 3-1 loss at Rockhurst on Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.

It was a scoreless first half as neither team could find the net in the early stages of the game. In the second half, Rockhurst then connected on two goals in a two-minute span for a 2-0 lead. UMSL then got on the board at the 72:30 mark when Jeff Stegman (St. Louis, Mo./Vianney) scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season to cut the lead in half. Rockhurst then added a third goal at the 78:39 mark for the 3-1 final score.

The Rivermen fall to 5-4 on the season and will resume conference action this weekend then UMSL travels to play at Quincy on Friday, October 11 at 5 pm.
