Rivermen Battle Stay Even With League Leaders

Quincy, Ill. – The UMSL men's soccer kept pace with some of the leaders in the GLVC, recording a 0-0 tie on the road against Quincy.

Quincy had 12 shots on the night compared to 11 shots for the Rivermen. UMSL goalkeeper Brad Bernsen (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North) recorded the shutout with five saves on the evening.

The tie makes UMSL 5-4-1 on the season and 4-1-1 in the GLVC, keeping pace with three other schools (Lewis, Southern Indiana, Quincy) who each have on conference loss each. SIU Edwardsville sits atop the standings with a 6-0 league mark.
