| UMSL Falls To Top Ranked Lewis Rivermen fall 2-0 Romeoville, Ill. – The UMSL men's soccer falls to Lewis University on Sunday afternoon. The 7-1 Flyers scored two goals in the first half to beat the Rivermen 2-0 Lewis came out strong in the first half with two quick goals in the first ten minutes from teammates Nick Carr and Justin Sanabria. In the 55th minute, UMSL lost senior defender Pat Shelton when he went down with a broken leg after Lewis's Nick Carr slidtackled Shelton in the side on the knee. The Rivermen had several shots in the second half, but couldn't capatilize. Lewis beat UMSL 2-0 This loss puts UMSL's record to 6-6-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the GLVC. The men's soccer team will host conference opponents Wisconsin-Parkside this Friday, October 25 at 5 pm and St. Joseph's Sunday, October 27 at noon.
