UMSL Finishes 9th at Parkside Invitational

Columbus, Ind. – The UMSL men's golf team finished ninth at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational this past weekend. The Rivermen shot a two round score of 616 (305-311) at in the tournament, which was played at Otter Creek Golf Course, site of the upcoming 2007 GLVC Championship.

Ryan Miller was UMSL's top finisher individually, shooting a 151 (73-78) to tie for 29th. His 73 in the opening round was a season low round for Miller. Tim Swoboda finished in 42nd, shooting a 154 (78-76). Diego Jimenez and Luigi Wewege both shot identical scores of 157, Jimenez shooting 79-78 and Wewege shooting 78-79. Matt Thomas shot a 158 (76-82) and J.R. Siracusa shot a 161 (76-85).

UMSL will continue play on their current trip by competing in the Bellarmine Invitational in Louisville, Ky., on March 26-27.
