Four UMSL Golfers Have Best Finishes of the Year at Bellarmine

Louisville, Ky. – The UMSL men's golf team had four golfers who had their best finish of the season at the Bellarmine Intercollegiate Tournament. The team finished in fifth place, shooting a two-round score of 624 (316-308).

Individually, four golfers had their best finish of the year, led by Diego Jimenez who placed 11th with a two-round score of 153 (74-79), his highest finish this season. Ryan Miller was one stroke back, shooting a 154 (80-74) to finish in a tie for 12th place, which is his best finish in a tournament this season as well. Luigi Wewege tied for 17th place, matching his season best finish when he also placed 17th at the Missouri Intercollegiate. Wewege shot a 156 (77-79) in the two-round tournament. Tim Swoboda improved by nine strokes in the second round to finish with a score of 163 (87-76) and Matt Thomas improved by eight strokes in the second round, finishing with a score of 166 (87-79). J.R. Siracusa tied for 40th, which marked his highest finish in the two tournaments he has particiapted in this year, finishing with a score of 167 (85-82).

UMSL will continue their trip through Kentucky, playing at the NCAA Spring Regional in Perry Park, Ky., this weekend.
