UMSL Finishes 4th at SIUE Tournament

Matt Thomas Places in Top Ten at Cougar Classic

Wood River, Ill. – The Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team played in the SIUE Cougar Classic and finished in fourth palce in the nine-team field. UMSL shot a 299 in the first round and place third after the first round and then shot a 315 in the second round for a tournament score of 614.

Individually for UMSL, Matt Thomas finished in eighth place with a two-round score of 150 (70-80). Two other golfers finished just outside the top ten as Ben Song and Mike Lueders tied for 14th with a 152, as Song shot 74-78 and Lueders shot 78-74. Ryan Miller finished 35th with a 160 (77-83) and Diego Jimenez finished 44th with a 164 (78-86).
