UMSL Completes GLVC Championship

Rivermen Finish 13th at Conference Tournament

Columbus, Ind. – The Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team recently completed play at the GLVC Championships, finishing in 13th place. The Rivermen shot a 326 in the opening round on Monday morning. The team then improved by 15 strokes in the second round, played Monday afternoon, shooting a team score of 309. In Tuesday's third and final round, UMSL shot a 319 and finished two strokes behind 12th-place Quincy.

Luigi Wewege was UMSL's top finisher, shooting a 235 (83-74-78), and improved by nine strokes from his first round to his second round score. His second round 74 was a season best as well. Ryan Miller and J.R. Siracusa each tied for 51st with identical scores of 239. Miller shot 82-78-79 and Siracusa shot 77-80-82. Siracuas shot a season best 77 with his second round score. Matt Thomas finished two strokes back at 241, shooting 84-77-80.

UMSL will next compete at the NCAA Spring Regional April 13-15.
