UMSL Has Strong Second Round at Drury Classic

Mike Lueders Places 11th Individually for the Rivermen

Springfield, Mo. – The Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team finished in 11th place at the Drury/Deerfield Inn Classic. UMSL had a great second round, shooting 14 strokes better than their first round score to shoot a 636 (325-311) for the tournament.

Mike Lueders led the Rivermen with a 16th place finish, shooting a 152 (79-73). His second round 73 was the fifth lowest round of the day. Ben Song finished with a 161 (83-78) shooting five strokes better in the second round, and Diego Jimenez shot a 162 (82-80), also improving in the second round. Matt Thomas shot a 164 (84-80) and Ryan Miller finished with a 170 (81-89).

UMSL will be in action again next week when they host the Rivermen Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, October 10-11, at WingHaven Country Club in O'Fallon, Mo.
