UMSL Men's Golf Coach Resigns Trittler Resigns as Men's Golf Coach St. Louis, Mo. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis Athletic Department today announced the resignation of James Trittler as the head coach of the men’s golf program. Trittler resigned to pursue other career opportunites. Trittler served as the head coach for the past four seasons. In his first year, he guided the Rivermen to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Regionals, and a 12th-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The following year, the team placed 12th at the NCAA Regional Qualifier, but had an individual advance to the NCAA Regionals. The last two years, the team has struggled in the spring tournaments, finishing in the bottom half of the field, including no better than a seventh place finish during the 2004 spring season. UMSL
