UMSL Places Seventh in Preview of GLVC Tournament

Murillo Places 3rd Individually

Columbus, Ind.– The UMSL men's golf team placed seventh at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational, held at Otter Creek Golf Club in Columbus, Ind.

The one round tournament served as a preview for the upcoming GLVC Tournament, as Otter Creek GC will be the host of the conference tournament April 12-13.

UMSL shot a team score of 312, as just seven strokes seperated second and seventh place. UMSL's Pat Murillo (Pensacola, Fla.) led the Rivermen and placed third individually with a 1-over 73. Diego Jimenez (Bogota, Columbia) shot a 5-over 77 to tie for 15th place, and Jimmy Simon (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood West) shot a 7-over 79 to tie for 26th. Other UMSL finishers were Ryan Andrews (Edmonton, Alberta) with an 83 and Andrew Sullivan (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood Central) with an 89.
