Murillo Places 24th Individually

Louisville, Ky.– The UMSL men's golf team placed seventh in their second consecutive tournament, playing in the weather-shortened Bellarmine Intercollegiate Tournament, held at Persimmon Golf Club in Louisville, Ky.

The event was shortened to a 27-hole tournament due to weather, with the second round being just nine holes after an 18-hole first round.

UMSL shot a team score of 497, shooting a 338 in the first round and a 159 in the nine-hole second round. UMSL's Pat Murillo (Pensacola, Fla.) led the Rivermen again, placing 24th individually with score of 120. Andrew Sullivan (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood Central) shot a 126 to finish 38th, and Diego Jimenez (Bogota, Columbia) and Ryan Andrews (Edmonton, Alberta) both shot identical 127 scores to finish 40th. Jimmy Simon (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood West) rounded out the UMSL team with a 131.

The Rivermen will next hit the links for the GLVC Tournament, to be held April 11-13.
