Ledbetter Named Honorable Mention All-Conference

St. Louis, Mo. – University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s basketball player Brett Ledbetter (Warrenton, Mo./Warrenton HS) was named an honorable mention selection to the Great Lakes Valley All-Conference team as voted on by league coaches.

Ledbetter led UMSL in scoring this season with 18.3 points per game, and was second in the GLVC in scoring. He led UMSL in scoring in 12 games on the season and scored in double figures in 22 games this year. Ledbetter scored a career high 42 points against Kentucky Wesleyan, hitting 12-of-18 shots from the field while matching Bob Bone and Mark Bernsen for the third-highest single game scoring output in UMSL history. That 42-point performance was also the second highest point total for a single game in the GLVC this season. Earlier in the season, he recorded 40 points in a triple-overtime win at Rockhurst, becoming the third player in UMSL history to have two games of 40 or more points during his career, joining UMSL Sports Hall of Famers Bob Bone and Jack Stenner.

Ledbetter had ten games with 20 or more points and had a 30-point game in addition to his two 40-point games. He was second on the team with 63 three-point field goals made, which ranks sixth in the UMSL records for most in a single season. He connected on 40.1% from beyond the arc which also ranks sixth in the UMSL single season records. Ledbetter was tenth in the single season records for free throws made with a team best 131, and hit 81.4% from the line. He had a single high of six steals in a game, and he dished out a season high of seven assists in a win over Missouri-Rolla.
