| Tesson Pitches Another Complete Game Win Over Panthers Owensboro, Ky. – The UMSL baseball team defeated Kentucky Wesleyan 7-4 in a single conference game on Tuesday. UMSL got a run in the top of the second on an RBI single by Bryan Smith but KWC tied it with a run in the bottom half of the inning. The Rivermen then got three runs in the third, getting an RBI double by Dan Fox and an RBI single from Scott Lavelock. UMSL added a run in the fourth but gave up two runs in the bottom of the fourth to lead 5-3. UMSL got an RBI double from Adam Whitehead in the eighth followed by an RBI single from Dan Fox that same inning before giving up a run in the ninth for the 7-4 win. Matt Tesson got the complete game win, going 9.0 innings and giving up three earned runs on nine hits and struck out three. Dan Fox went 3-for-5 with two RBI and Eric Kuntz went 2-for-4 while Adam Whitehead knocked in three RBI. UMSL is now 20-21 on the season and is 16-17 in the Great Lakes Valley Confernece. UMSL will host Drury for a single game on Wednesday, May 2, at 3 pm at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Ill.
