UMSL Loses at Bellarmine

Second Game of Doubleheader Rained Out

Louisville, Ky. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team dropped a 3-0 game at Bellarmine on Saturday afternoon, as the second game of the scheduled doubleheader was cancelled due to rain.

The game was scoreless through the first four innings before the Knights got on the board with a single run in the fifth inning. Bellarmine then opened the sixth with four straight hits which led to two more runs and a 3-0 lead for the Knights. The Rivermen struggled from the plate, getting their first hit to lead off the fifth inning and collected four hits for the game. Mike Lantzy (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway North) took the loss, giving up three runs in 6.2 innings of work.

The Rivermen fall to 1-4 on the season and will face Bellarmine again on Sunday for a doubleheader beginning at 12 pm.
