UMSL to Start Season at Diamond Classic

Games Can Be Followed on Webcast

St. Louis, Mo. – The 9th-ranked UMSL baseball team will start their season at the 2004 Diamond Classic in Savannah, Ga., this weekend. The Rivermen are coming off one of the best years in school history when UMSL finished at 39-15, captured the GLVC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Regionals.

This year, UMSL is currently ranked 9th in the latest Division II polls and will face some tough opponents to get the season underway. The Rivermen will play two games against #15 Florida Southern (5-3-1) and one game against #4 Armstrong Atlantic State (7-1).
