Policy on Call-Up of Reservists who are UMSL Students
Military Reserves PDF
- Every effort will be made to allow students who have completed a substantial portion of work in a course by the time they are called up to complete that course upon their re-enrollment at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (without the payment of any additional course fees).
- Reservists who have not completed a substantial portion of course work at the time of their call-up will be given a full refund of all educational fees paid in connection with the courses in question, as will any reservist who is called up and would rather have a refund than the opportunity to complete her or his course work at a later date. Students receiving financial aid who are requesting a full refund should contact the Office of Financial Aid to discuss the impact of withdrawing on their financial aid status.
- Other fees (including those for housing, food services, computer services, parking, health services, and student activities) will be refunded on a pro-rated basis (based on the date of the reservist having to discontinue class attendance).
Reservists who are called up and wish to re-enroll in the University of Missouri-St. Louis upon their deactivation will be allowed to do so without the payment of any application fee or other re-enrollment fee, provided they reenroll within six months of being deactivated.
