Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research and Creativity

Purpose: The purpose of this annual award is to honor a full-time, regular faculty member who has demonstrated superior achieve­ment in a program of research and creativity. 

Award Presented: The award will be presented at the Chancellor’s State of the University Address in Fall 2007.

Honorarium: $5,000

Nomination Procedure:

  • Nominations may be submitted by any UM-St. Louis faculty member or group of faculty.  Faculty members who have received a Presiden­tial Award for Research and Creativity, a previous Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research and Creativity, or who hold a Curators' Profes­sor­ship will not be eligible for this award.  Previous recipients of these awards and Curators’ Professors are listed below.

  • Nominations packets should include a one- to two-page cover letter summarizing the nominee's research and/or creative accomplishments, a curriculum vita, and up to 15 reference letters. Your cover letter should also include a synopsis of the referees’ credentials. 

  • Twelve copies of the documents must be received in the Office of Research Administration, 341 Woods Hall, by 5:00 p.m. Monday, 16 April 2007.

Deadline for Submission: April 16, 2007 at 5 p.m. is the deadline for submission of nomination and completed materials packet.
