Minimum TOEFL score requirement is 500 (paper-based test), 213 (computer-based test), or 61 (internet based); test results cannot be two years old or older
Preparatory language course for new exchange students (indicate date and costs) None – English Language Support Program (ELSP) courses available during semester.  Intensive English Program (IEP) courses are not available to exchange students.
Internships available Students may seek out unpaid internships in their field of study to take part in at the completion of their studies at University of Missouri-Columbia (MU).  The duration can equal but not exceed the amount of time they were studying at MU.
Student jobs available/allowed? Students may work at on campus jobs for up to 20 hours a week during studies.
Housing assistance

The International Center will pre-arrange housing in residence halls for students who desire to live on campus. Students will need to complete an official MU Residence Life Housing Application and pay a processing fee of $25 plus pay a $300 deposit and sign the housing contract after arrival at MU.

Those who wish to live in private apartments must arrange housing upon arrival themselves.

College of Business Fee - $34.60 per credit hour
College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Fee $40.30 per credit hour
College of Education (Courses taught through the teacher development program and select courses required for teacher certification) $34.60 per credit hour
Comparable health insurance coverage from abroad allowed/not allowed All students must purchase the mandatory health insurance policy. 
Health facilities at the university Student Health Center - consultation with a health practitioner (doctor or nurse) in non-emergency situations and some lab work included in required student health fee. The Student Health Fee is paid on behalf of incoming exchange students (separate from Health Insurance).
Additional information Arrival assistance in Columbia will be provided if requested in advance and only possible on the indicated arrival date and times.
