What is it like there?
South Korea is a beautiful country with inspiring mountains. Korea

in the country and has a strong reputation for quality education. Korea
University is located on a breath-taking campus in Seoul. Koreans place
an important emphasis on developing the whole person, so the campus is
filled with parks, hiking paths, and recreation centers to fulfill the

What will I study?
UM-St. Louis students will participate in the Korea University Student Exchange Program (KUSEP). Most UM-St. Louis students take Korean language courses for 8 hours per
week and then take the remainder of their courses in English. Korea
university offers approximately 50 courses taught in English each semester,
mainly in Business, Liberal Arts, Education, Science, International Studies,
Economics, and Law. To see courses available, go to Korea University's website. Note: you can select from "major courses" and "elective courses" on the left-hand side.
Korean language courses are offered at six different levels throughout the semester. UM-St. Louis students may also attend an intensive language program during the summer.
What is the language of instruction?
English and Korean.
Where will I live?
Korea University has dormitories that are nestled in the wooded hills,
about a ten-minute walk from the main campus. The dormitory commands a
scenic view of the nearby traditional style Buddhist temple, Kaeun, and
is also adjacent to the urban sections close to the university. The hills
behind the dormitory buildings have hiking trails with a fine view. The
"Green Campus" which adjoins the dormitory area has tennis courts, a
basketball court, a jogging area and an open green space for picnics and
meditation.
Several room types are available (single, double, and triple) and range in price from $800 (triple), $1600 (double), or $2,000 (single) per semester. Students sharing a room will have their own bed, desk, chair, lamp, and wardrobe. The room also includes a telephone. Click here for photos and descriptions of the different dormitories and room setups; use the links on the left-hand side to review prices and other information.

year, or summer. The Fall Semester from September 1 to the middle of December
and the Spring term runs from mid-February to the middle of June.
What are the eligibility requirements?
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, be a sophomore, junior,
