What is it like there?
Strasbourg is at the same time a model city of rich culture and an academic
center of great stature. Welcoming each year nearly 38,000 students, of
which 5,900 are foreign students, Strasbourg is the most international
university town in France after Paris. From Strasbourg, it is quite easy
to travel throughout Europe.
Ecole de Management Strasbourg (EM Strasbourg Business School) is a business and management school which is part of the University of Strasbourg. The EM Strasbourg Business School's mission is to train high-calibre managers to drive projects and provide fresh vision to shape the world that awaits us tomorrow. The EM Strasbourg Business School is committed to providing its students with the specialist and cross-functional knowledge and expertise needed to develop businesses throughout the world.
What will I study?
EM Strasbourg offers a variety of business, finance, marketing, and
management classes taught in both French and English. There are also French
literature, civilization, and French business classes designed for non-native

Where will I live?
Most students live in university dormitories as this is the most affordable option (160-220 euros/month). Rooms are single with shared
kitchen facilities. More information, including photos, is available here (you may need to login. Please select "University of Missouri-St. Louis" from the drop-down box and enter MISET as the password). Sometimes, French students will be looking for roommates.
There is a French student organization that can assist you with housing
if you prefer to stay in the private sector (500-900 euros/month).
When can I go?
Students may attend during the Fall or Spring semester.
What are the eligibility requirements?
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and be a junior,
senior, or graduate student with a business or management major or minor.
It is recommended that students have a minumum of one year college-level French.

How much does it cost?
Below are the 2009-2010 estimated costs for one semester (4 months) at EM Strasbourg
Business School compared to a semester at UM-St. Louis. When you participate in a UM-St. Louis exchange program, like EMS, you continue to pay UMSL tuition and may use your financial aid. In addition, both CIS and external scholarships are available.
Please note that the French government requires students to apply in person for the student visa. This means you must go to the French Consulate in Chicago approximately 1-2 months before departure. Details will be provided to applicants.

Mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation:
