What
is it like there?
With a tradition going back almost 200 years, a student body numbering
30,000 and an excellent reputation at home and abroad, Bonn is one
of the leading universities in Germany. The university
is at home in a city and region where life has always been that
little bit better. The city of Bonn is located on the Rhine River
and draws its roots back to a Roman settlement founded between 9
and 13 B.C. This gives the city a rich cultural and political history.
What
will I study?
Academic year students will arrive in September and Spring semester students will arrive in March for a four-week orientation
and language program. This includes intensive German language study, visits around Bonn, and special seminars on German life and culture. There is a 480 Euro fee for the orientation course.
The regular semesters start in October and April. Students may take German language courses, courses taught in English, or regular university courses taught in German. Visit the following websites for course offerings:
-German language and culture classes

In addition, there is an extensive cultural program for students to explore German culture.

is the language of instruction?
German and English. German language courses are available.
Where
will I live?
Students will be housed in one of several student dorms, which are
located in different areas of town. All dorms are easily accessible
either being within walking distance or by public transportation.
All rooms are single rooms. Some are equipped with a kitchenette
and a private bathroom while others have shared facilities. Rent ranges from 160-250 euros/month. Details
