Japan Study Tour
Experience a fascinating blend of the traditional and the modern - cultural exploration combined with a study of a vibrant economy. The trip will include lectures, language study, company visits and government briefings, nightly cultural experiences, and breathtaking trips to sites of major interest on the weekends.
Applications accepted on a first-come basis. Students must submit a $500 deposit with their application to hold a place in the program.

Estimated Costs:
Tuition: $742.80 (Subject to change. 2008 rate announced in April.) OR $400 non-credit fee
Program Fee*: $2,600
Meals and Personal Expenses: $500 - $1,000 (depends on personal habits)
*Program fee includes round-trip airfare, lodging and breakfast, all in-country
program-related travel and entrance fees, program materials, and sickness
& accident insurance.
Application Process:
Students will need to submit the following documents to the Study Abroad
Office. Forms are available online or in the Study Abroad Office, 261
MSC. Space is limited to 33 participants and is awarded on a first come-first
served basis. $500 non-refundable deposit is due with application by January 25 and the remainder of
all fees is due February 9 .

1 day in Nikko (U.N. World Heritage Site)
Toshogu Shrine, Futarasan Shrine, Rinnoji Temple, Lake Chuzenji,
Irohazaka, Kegon Falls.
1 day in Nara (U.N. World Heritage Site)
Todaiji, Nara Park, Shosoin, Kasuga Taisha.
6 days in Kyoto
Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace, Kinkakuji, Heian Shrine, Kiyomizu
Temple, Sanjusangendo, Ryoanji; optional side trips to Hiroshima (Itsukushima Shrine, Hiroshima
