Course: Sponsored by the University of Missouri-St. Louis, the University of Arkansas and the National University of Ireland-Galway students will take two 3 credit courses: a workshop in either fiction or poetry, and Reading Ireland, a course in Irish Literature.
The 2012 poetry workshop will be led by Irish poet Moya Cannon and the fiction workshop by the American novelist and short story writer Mary Troy. Both writers will combine to team-teach Reading Ireland.

Among those who have read in the past and discussed the craft with students are Paula Meehan, Tim Robinson, Eamon Grennan, Mary O’ Malley, Claire Keegan, and others. Students will reside in Gort na Coiribe, a fifteen minute walk from campus. Transfer credits will be awarded through the University of Arkansas.

Excursions: The course includes a weekend trip to Inishbofin Island as well as readings by guest writers.
