Study Abroad Eligibility Requirements
Students from other universities may apply for UM-St. Louis study abroad programs in London, Ghana, and select summer programs. All other programs require that students complete at least one semester of full-time coursework at UM-St. Louis prior to participation.
Most programs require a minimum 2.75 GPA. Semester programs in Ireland require a 3.0 minimum GPA. Some programs have a foreign language or other coursework prerequisites. Check the specific program for exact requirements.
Most semester programs are designed for undergraduate students who are in their junior or senior year of study. This requirement ensures that students have the basic prerequisites for many overseas universities. Freshmen and sophomores are eligible for summer programs. Some universities accept graduate students, depending on the discipline.
