UMSL offers a variety of programs in Mexico. Some are specific to Environmental Studies or Business majors, while others are open to all majors. Most classes are taught in Spanish, but some universities offer courses taught in English. Students also have the option of taking Spanish language courses to improve their proficiency in Spanish at some universities. Please see the Study Abroad Coordinator for full details.


Students wanting to improve their Spanish language skills can take Spanish language classes and/or courses taught in English at the following universities (click on each university name for more information):

Universidad Iberoamericana — Spanish Language and Culture, some courses taught in English, business, (RAMP)

Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) - Business (offered in English), Environmental Studies, Spanish Language, Summer session available

Universidad de las Américas-Puebla — Business (with courses taught in English), Environmental Studies, Spanish Language (RAMP)


Students with a high level of Spanish may take regular courses at the following universities in the departments listed:
