PARENT PROGRAMS

 
SATURDAY ACADEMY PARENT PROGRAM

The Bridge Parent Academy is held on the first Saturday of each month, from October through March. Parents, you are invited to become engaged in essential and effective workshops to promote the success of your college-going student.

Parents are exposed to a variety of workshops specifically designed to provide effective strategies for supporting the college bound student.  Collectively students and parents will be involved in a variety of speaker seminars to offer additional expertise and useful resources. 

Whether your child is a high school freshman or senior, the Parent Academy  Program will provide invaluable information for success in high school as well as college!  

All workshops begin at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude at 12:00 p.m.

The Office of Precollegiate Programs-Bridge Program Parent Support Group “CONNECT” was established in 2007 to bring participating parents together in a collaborative effort to support the overall goals to ensure student success. Parents will be exposed to a variety of workshops and seminars specifically designed to enhance the parent’s ability to effectively transition their student from high school to post-secondary attainment. 

“CONNECT” parent group meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month from October through March from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Bridge Program Office located on south campus at Bellerive Hall.
