Natissia Small
Assistant Dean of Students and Director
Division of Student Affairs
Natissia was appointed Director for the Office of Precollegiate Programs in April 2007 and Assistant Dean of Students for the Division of Student Affairs in 2011. She has been with the University of Missouri-St. Louis since 1995 and has served as a Coordinator in the Office of Student Financial Aid and Clinical Instructor for the Bridge Program. Natissia holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Southeast Missouri State University, dual Master's degrees in Secondary Education and Counseling Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She brings more than 15 years of higher education experience in combined areas of admissions, financial aid, and residential life. Natissia serves as a member on numerous campus committees, National College Access Network and the Missouri Association for College Admissions Counseling. In 2011, she received the UMSL Women's Trailblazer Award and the St. Louis Americans Salute to Excellence Award in Education. In addition, under her leadership, the Bridge Program received the 2012 National College Board's Dr. Asa G. Hilliard Model of Excellence Award for outstanding contributions to the St. Louis community. Natissia is devoted to serving, implementing and executing effective college access services.

Channon Peoples
Assistant Director
Channon joined the Office of Precollegiate Programs in 2003 and currently serves as Assistant Director. She is a graduate of Harris-Stowe State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, a Master's degree in Public Policy and Administration and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership both from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Channon brings expertise in the area of program coordination, marketing and recruiting. She is a member of the Missouri Association for College Admissions Counseling (MOACAC) and the National College Access Network (NCAN). She is an active volunteer in various youth and community organizations structured to engage and encourage youth to seek post-secondary attainment.

Kimberly Edwards
Coordinator
Kimberly began working with the Office of Precollegiate Programs in April 2009 and currently serves as a Program Coordinator. She received both her Bachelor's degree in Communication as well as a Master's degree in Higher Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She previously served as a board member for the University Program Board and worked diligently with the Office of Student Life to coordinate activities and events for student organizations. She has assisted with organizing events for the Women's Resource Center and developed workshops for the Emerging Leaders Program. She is a member of the Missouri Association for College Admissions Counseling (MOACAC) and the National College Access Network (NCAN).

Amber Mitchell
Program Coordinator
Amber began working with the Office of Precollegiate Programs in 2005 and currently serves as a Program Coordinator. Amber received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2008 and Master’s Degree in Secondary School Counseling in 2013 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is currently seeking her second Master's Degree in Adult Higher Education here at the University. She is a member of the Missouri Association for College Admissions Counseling (MOACAC) and the National College Access Network (NCAN). Amber demonstrates a great deal of passion and commitment in assisting students in achieving their goals for college success.

Lisa Sturgeon

Lisa began working with the Office of Precollegiate Programs in March 2010. She brings more than 32 years of administrative experience. Her strong commitment to assist students and parents in their transition from high school to college have made her a key asset to the department.
