Well you can earn a high quality, fully accredited, low-cost college degree that is close to home from UMSL through the Off-Campus Degree Completion Programs. In cooperation with local community colleges, UMSL offers degree credit courses that create a smooth transition for transfer students interested in completing a Bachelor's degree. Graduate degrees are also available for those who have completed a Bachelor's degree. The faculty and staff of the community colleges and UMSL are committed to helping you achieve your academic goals.

Courses are offered in a variety of formats through the Off-Campus Degree Completion Programs, including on-site and Internet-based coursework. All courses in the programs are taught by UMSL faculty and students pay UMSL tuition and fees, which enables students to take advantage of all of UMSL’s student benefits, including: financial aid programs and scholarships, optional student health insurance, and many other student programs, organizations, and activities. The Off-Campus Degree Completion Programs offered by UMSL for part-time students are structured based on today’s marketplace and chosen based on value to employers. These degrees are designed for working professionals, as many courses are provided online, and those with a classroom component are taught in the afternoon or early evening.

The courses are formatted to meet adult learner styles, where you can share the same experiences and work with like-minded people in a unique learning community. Some courses are even taught in eight week formats, so you may be able to accelerate your degree completion. Therefore, living or working within a 25 mile radius of St. Louis makes getting an UMSL degree very feasible.

Our goal is to create a smooth, clear academic pathway to Bachelor’s degrees for those transfer students who are interested in degree completion. The courses are offered in a variety of formats. You don’t need to already have an Associate's degree; however, you do need to follow the academic pathway that is outlined for each degree so you can transfer successfully.
