This collection contains four manuscript cookbooks, three published cookbooks with tipped-in content, and one manuscript homemaker's journal.

Of the four manuscript cookbooks, one cookbook is dated from around 1865, and contains hand-written recipes as well as tipped-in content for home remedies and household supplies. The second cookbook, probably from the mid-twentieth century, contains hand-written recipes. A third cookbook is mostly disbound and written in French, undated. The fourth cookbook is located in a "correspondence" ledger, and contains clippings pasted into the book as well as handwritten recipes. The book likely dates from the early 20th century.
