HISTORY: This collection was donated to the Mercantile Library in 2000
SCOPE: A small collection of photographs focused on the early days of aviation in St. Louis centering around the Mid-Coast Aviation Company.Series include, Lambert Field, Charles Lindbergh, various aviation pioneers, air mail, commercial aviation, military aviation, aircraft manufacturing, and lighter than airships.
HOLDINGS: 4 boxes containing 136 black and white photos
