In order to enroll in entry-level college Mathematics courses, a student must demonstrate appropriate background mathematical knowledge and skills. Depending upon the course, there are multiple ways of demonstrating this knowledge.

The following table provides the current math placement requirements for the indicated courses.

MATH 1020

A score of 15 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test for new freshman, OR  >=25% on ALEKS,  obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1021

>=25% on ALEKS,  obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1025

>=25% on ALEKS,  obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1026

>=25% on ALEKS,  obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1030

A score of 22 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test for new freshman, OR  >=45% on ALEKS,  obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1035

A grade of C- or higher in MATH 1030 or concurrent registration, OR  >=61% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1045

A score of 22 or higher on the ACT Math sub-test for new freshman, OR  >=45% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1100

C- or higher in MATH 1030 or MATH 1040 or MATH 1045, OR  >=61% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1102

C- or higher in MATH 1030 or MATH 1040  or  MATH 1045 OR  >=56% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1105

C- or higher in MATH 1030 or MATH 1040 or MATH 1045, OR  >=61% on ALEKS, obtained at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1150

45 hours of college credit and one of the  following and
>=51% on ALEKS, obtained at most  one year prior to enrollment in this course OR successful completion of MATH 1030 no more than 2 years prior to enrollment in this course.

MATH 1800

C-   or higher in MATH 1030 and MATH 1035, or MATH 1040 and MATH 1035, or MATH 1045, OR   >=76% on ALEKS, obtained in the proctored environment at most one year prior to enrollment in this course.
