Andalafte Mathematical Competition

In April of each year, the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science sponsors the Andalafte Mathematical Competition. This is a 2-hour exam consisting of five challenging problems. The competition is open to UMSL undergraduates, regardless of major. Students who have a good understanding of undergraduate mathematics of at least the level of math 1900 (Calculus II) can be successful. There are monetary prizes of $500, $300, $100 for the top three finishers.  The purpose of this competition is to encourage undergraduates to strive for excellence in their studies. Application forms are available on-line or are available in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
