Directions for Immediate Access to All Ovid Databases
  1. Go to http://merlin.missouri.edu/ovid/online.
  2. Students: Fill in the box labeled SS# with your Social Security Number + t
    Faculty/Staff: Fill in the box labeled SS# with a Zero + your 8 digit Employee ID (EMPLID) Number + t
  3. Fill in the box labeled Password/PIN with your MERLIN Library Catalog PIN.
  4. Click on the START OVID button.

Apply for Special Ovid Account

To apply for a Special Ovid Account fill out the online form at: http://www.umsl.edu/library/requests/ovidacct.htm.

This personal account may only be used by UM-St. Louis faculty, staff, and students. Using this account allows the user to save searches in a personal workspace. It also allows for Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) searches that can be set up to automatically email results of a saved search whenever a database is updated. For more information, contact the Reference Desk at any UM-St. Louis Library.
